4/28/2008 -- Homeland Security outlines new boating strategy Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff announced a small-vessel security strategy at American Boating Congress today. As part of its Small Vessel Security Strategy, the Department of Homeland Security hopes to enhance maritime security efforts. The new strategy asks boaters to look for and report suspicious behavior on the water — much like a neighborhood watch program. (Link to complete story)
